Ein Panchangam ist ein hinduistischer astrologischer Almanach, der traditioneller indischer Kosmologie folgt und wichtige astronomische Daten in tabellanter Form darstellt. It is sometimes spelled Pancanga or Panchanga, and is pronounced Panchanga.
Usage: The basic purpose of Hindu Panchangam is to check various Hindu festivals and auspicious time (election- Muhurta). Im hinduistischen Wahlsystem bilden verschiedene Elemente von Panchangam nachgezogene und ungünstige Momente (Yogas) durch Kombination aus Wochentag bis Wochentag, Wochentags-Wochentags-Tithis-Konstellationen. Darüber hinaus wurden einzelne Wochentage, Tithis, Sternbilder, Yoga und Karanas für bestimmte Aktivitäten vorgeschrieben, die während ihrer Währung fruktiviert werden.
Panchangam in vedic astrology means five attributes of a day. They are Thithi, Vara, Nakshatra, Yoga and Karana.
Thithi is ending moment of elongation of the Moon, the lunar day, the angular relationship between Sun and Moon. One Tithi equals 12 degree difference between Moon and Sun
Nakshatra is ending Moment of asterism of the day, that is, the stellar mansion in which Moon is located for an observer on Earth. One Nakshatra equals 13 degrees:20 minutes. There are 27 Nakshatra in 360 degrees.
Yoga is ending Moment of the angular relationship between Sun and Moon. One Yoga equals 13 degrees:20 minutes. There are 27 Yogas in 360 degrees. Karana is ending Moment of half of a Tithi. One Kara equals 6 degree difference between Moon and Sun.
