Imam Abu Dawud (817 /202 H - died in Basrah; 888 /16 Shawwal 275 H; age 70-71 years) was one of the narrators of the hadith, who gathered around 50,000 hadiths and then chose and wrote 4,800 of them in the Sunan Abu Dawud book. His full name is Abu Dawud Sulaiman bin Al-Ash'ats As-Sijistani. To collect hadith, he traveled to Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Khurasan, Egypt, Syria, Nishapur, Marv, and other places, making it one of the most extensive scholars of his journey.Read more
