Incoming! uses text-to-speech to speak incoming caller/text/MMS messages.
Incoming! provides hands-free identification of incoming calls, text and MMS messages. It speaks the contact name and, optionally for SMS/MMS messages, the text of the message.
Additional features:
- searches your contacts based on the incoming phone number, text, or MMS source
- control the speech rate/pitch
- shake the phone to turn off the speech
- Home screen widget to easily turn on/off identification
- change call/text announcement message
- honor phones volume/vibrate level
- enable/disable Incoming! notifications via Tasker profiles
- optionally silence ringtone or notification for Incoming! announcement
- optionally replace emoticons with speakable words
- optionally have caller repeated (like a ringtone)
- optionally silence speaking if bluetooth or headset connected

I really like the hands free ability to hear my texts. The shake feature to stop the message if I don't want to hear it is nice as well.

I switched from a Blackberry to a Galaxy S4, and was looking for an app that would automatically set the phone to "vibrate" when I put the phone in the holster. Silence is great!
