In Blackhawk Rescue Mission 5, Assault Rifles and Carbines are the most dominating weapon class, especially for PvP game modes. The M4A1 and MK 18 ARs are the top dogs and you'll find several players using these guns. They both cost nearly the same (≈$2k) and have similar stats, however, the M4 has a slightly better range and damage profile.
I've then put the P90 PDW (Personal Defense Weapon) in S-Tier as it performs extremely well in close-mid ranges thanks to its high rate of fire. To put it simply, A-Tier guns are quite similar to S-Tier weapons but fall short in terms of performance and usability by a tad bit. These are very good but you're better off purchasing or using the top-tier weapons if you want the best results on the battlefield. This ranking tier includes most of the Assault Rifles, Carbines, and Submachine Guns.

The AUG A3 is another classic weapon that I see often on other players every time I'm playing PvP modes. Some other good ARs you can try out after unlocking the S-Tier guns are the G36, M16A4, and RF416 A5. The FAMAS is a good choice if you don't have any problem using a burst-fire weapon that packs a punch. Finally, I've added the MP5A4 SMG in A-Tier as it performs very well up close.
In the B-Tier, you'll find weapons fun that are average yet fun to use and go back to every once in a while. Besides the M110, which is a superior gun, the other two DMRs—OTs-O3 and SVDS—are worthless unless you have a lot of money left in-game. Finally, I've put the two expensive yet average Sniper Rifles (M2010 and Ultima Ratio) in this ranking tier to conclude the tier list.
I haven't seen myself or anyone else use a melee weapon in BRM5 as guns always kill much faster and from further away than a knife. Therefore, purchase any Melee you like the looks of or just stick with the basic M9 Bayonet starter weapon.
