Rethinking Voxels material package is a modified version of the author: gri573 Complementary Reimagined, aiming to achieve relatively high running speeds while allowing the block light source to cast sharp shadows.
illustrate
The core concept of RethinkingVoxels is to transform complex geometric structures into volume representations of tiny cubes called voxels. This voxelization technology enhances the realism of the scene by capturing the tiny features and attributes of objects and environments, such as material properties, lighting interactions and dynamic deformation. Compared to traditional polygon-based rendering, the reshaping object material package can express complex shapes and surfaces more accurately, which usually requires simplification and approximation of geometric structures.
This material pack also has many impressive features that can take your gaming experience to new heights. After installing these materials, you will love your game even more. One amazing ability of RethinkingVoxels material is to manage global lighting in real time. Global lighting refers to the accurate representation of indirect lighting, involving the interaction of light with different surfaces and subsequent reflection and scattering.
Things to note
The lighting system is not perfect. Occasional brightness mutations are a side effect of how it works and cannot be completely eliminated without affecting performance or retaining sharp shadows of the light source. If you need the latter, turn off Per-Pixel Lighting in Rethinking Voxels Settings.
The material package is developed based on Iris and is tested on AMD graphics cards on Linux systems, and also tested on NVIDIA graphics cards on Linux systems. Although it is usually compatible with other platforms, errors that only appear on specific platforms cannot be found in my tests, so it takes longer to fix these errors. To use this shader package, you must have an Iris material package loader. Beta 18d and earlier also supports OptiFine.
Update log
r01-alpha4 update log:
- Optimize the reprojection function, no more defects occur when moving
- Thoroughly fix the "translucent" hand problem
-Close the debug view
r0.1-alpha3 update log:
- Add support for light source blocks (specifically refer to `minecraft:light`, not general luminous blocks)
- Fixed the incomplete rendering pipeline problem in the lower boundary and end (the lower boundary still has a lot of flaws, especially when the light overflows near the lava lake, but this is a mistake in the pipeline itself, not caused by missing pipelines)
- Fixed the issue of "Iris support" displaying incorrect text on the screen
- Fixed some shader options menu
- Solve the problem of "transparent hands"
r01-alpha2 update log:
-Re-implement and improve handheld light source effects
-Updated to refactored version r2.2
